CDE Innovation Hub
Cookstown

The proposed building has been developed as part of a masterplan for the global headquarters site. An extensive landscaped park links the now completed HQ’s Office and the proposed Innovation Hub. The intention is to create a site that enhances the visitor experience allowing prospective clients to view and experience machines processing material. The facility will allow the client to further develop and innovate within their sector.

The building entrance is located directly in line with the office entrance and is linked via a central promenade. The path is backed on one side by a meandering lake and natural planting. The building itself uses materials already used on the site including the blue brick and stainless steel to reinforce the client’s engineering background.

The ‘Chills Project’ was a phased project on a live factory site and operates as the only facility of its kind in Europe.  The core of the brief was to provide a 30,000 sq ft extension to the existing chill facility. The scope included the demolition of the existing office block, provision of almost 300 spaces carpark area, construction of a new reception area with a high level link bridge, and a 3-storey amenity block with changing facilities and additional office area.  The project was designed and coordinated to facilitate the installation of leading-edge technologies from specialist European suppliers.
