Both proposals involve the creation of a community hub, akin to the village green, which will provide a focal point for community activity and encourage social and community cohesion. These areas will act as community activity areas and encourage social interaction. The greens will be accessible to all ages and include sunken gardens, and child play areas.

‘LINEAR PARKS’ have been established to define the space. The main accesses will take the form of a tree lined avenue, defined on one side by the linear park.

Dwellings have been located to provide an active frontage and reflect the form of their neighbours.

The material and form have been developed to respect the local character of the area. The material palette will be simple and retrained.
