Cookstown Enterprise Centre

This conservation project sensitively restores and reconfigures a 1940s single-storey brick former social security office on Fairhill Road, Cookstown. The well-proportioned, symmetrical façade is retained and repaired, while the interior is reworked to create a flexible shared workspace. 

The design exposes as much of the existing structure as possible, allowing original elements to be appreciated by building users. New interventions are deliberately expressed to distinguish them from the historic fabric. The resulting aesthetic is a contemporary interpretation of the building’s original character
