We were delighted to have been appointed for the restoration of St. Mary’s Church in Portglenone. Following a series of stakeholder engagement meetings we developed a brief to meet the client’s aspirations. The client wished to restore and repair the existing building fabric but were keen to look to their future needs. A future annex building has been designed to complement the existing aesthetic and allow for a more inclusive provision. The committee wanted to make the church a local community hub to attract younger members. Our remit included Conservation Architecture and Structural Engineering from Planning Stage through to completion of the restoration works on site.
